A getaway to Cardiff

After a long week of working on the house, mom and I took a last-minute road trip to Wales. Cardiff was nothing like I pictured it to be - it was far more industrial, and run-down. You could see the deep affects the bust of the mining industry had on the city, and it's continuous fight for survival. The trip turned out to be a pleasant getaway, where we splurged on a nice hotel, and spent the afternoons drinking sangria in a sun filled tapas bar, trying to understand the welsh road signs, and sightseeing at the castle.
