It must be summer...
Summer has only begun here and London, and already, it's been filled with all sorts of celebrations!! In the past five weeks, I've been; celebrating sunshine, celebrating life, celebrating living in Abbeville, celebrating new friends, celebrating hard work well done with old colleagues, celebrating old friends visiting from home, celebrating the discovery of new friends here in London... quite frankly, I can find all sorts for reasons to celebrate.
Last weekend, I spent three days in Paris. I took the train over to meet work colleagues. In Paris, I had wine in a vineyard in the middle of Paris (who knew), scavenged across Montemarte - looking for clues, had dinner on a picnic table - while riding a boat on the river Siene as the sun rested across Paris, and celebrated in the revelry when France won the quarter-finals of the World Cup (along with 500K other people on the Champs Eulysses)!
And yesterday, I got to go to my first masked ball! A masquerade event, to celebrate London Business School summer graduation. My friends Charlotte and Barry have just completed the Executive MBA programme. We celebrated in style, with fancy dresses, exotic masks, and lots of bubbly.
In the past three weeks, I have done more dancing, laughing, and generally being silly than I have in a very long while. It can only mean one thing ... it must be summer!
