War Torn Warsaw

In September, several work colleagues and I had the chance to visit Warsaw. Poland is much like I pictured it to be, but I was not prepared for how war torn Warsaw would look. Walking around, you can see there was very little left of the city after the war - nearly every building was put together in a time where very little money was spent beyond the necessity. It might just be my imagination... but there was a moment during my morning run, in the foggy shadow of the trees, along the river, where I could still feel the presence of the war - a haunting city.
