Life, the Killers... and Train Plaform Guy!

Hi all,

So... one of the reasons I have been slow to write about life in the last few months is that, well, I have been living well - and enjoying my free time with a man called Anthony. I met Ant (funny nick name for a big rugby playing man - but I like it!). And so, I met Ant on the train to Bracknell last April... sort of. I saw a gorgeous man on the train platform from April to August - and well, I never got up the courage to say hello. My work colleagues named him 'Train Platform Guy'... ha ha. The name stuck!

After a long holiday back home in August, and not seeing him on the platform for nearly a month, I realise I kind of missed him. A funny feeling for someone to whom I had never spoken a word. And so, I decided that if, and when, I saw him again, I would say hello. And so I did. Somewhere in September or October. We spent the entire train ride that day talking about marathon running, music, and all sorts of things. The conversation flowed easily - the time flew by. I wanted more! And so, although rocky at first, we began a friendship. We went running, we share many moments commuting to and from Bracknell, we had long dinners and fabulous conversations. Though we had our first 'official' date in January - but I do believe my heart was in it long before that.

And so - I am seeing London in another, new, and different way. Through the eyes of two. It's funny - this adventure has always been one I have done alone. At times, living in London has nearly made me crazy with loneliness - and a deep longing to be around people who know and love me . The comfort of companionship is something I will never again take for granted.

Anthony is something special - I still call him my train platform guy. :-) ... Who would have guessed that in the middle of a manic and mad train depot - my heart would start doing summersaults and cartwheels! I hope I never lose that feeling...

And so - a few pics of Ant and I - with his roommate and friends at The Killers concert in Brighton...
