On a Lighter Note
In the past two weeks, I've had several 'magical' moments...
the first was a night out with the girls - a picnic at Regent's park, followed by Open Air Shakespeare theatre. If you make it to London to visit me this summer, you can guarantee I will be wanting to take you there. After much wine, cheese, chocolate, cherries, all sorts of other yummies on a picnic blanket, we took our feast inside. The theatre only holds 500, so there is not a seat in the entire place that is not spectacular! Like any Shakespeare - once your ears are tuned to sounds and rhythms of the words, your mind takes flight. This was one of those nights. A warm wind blowing through the trees, a rustle of life in the park here and there, actors on stage with no audio enhancement, Shakespeare as it was meant to be... magical!
the second was at my first British wedding. James and Jody - two of my closest companions in London, got married on July 23rd. A beautiful old church, followed by champagne reception in the garden, and a night of mischevious fun. There were fancy dresses, bouncy castles, and beautiful hats (yes, I even wore one too). It was altogether delightful - to watch too people I have grown to love, share their vows, and then in James and Jody style - celebrate until the dawn... truly magical!
Hope you enjoy the pictures!
